Remember worship starts at 9 am through September 2.

Prayer: (excerpted from the United Methodist Book of Worship 441)
God our Father, in your wisdom and love you made all things. Bless these men, that they may be strengthened as Christian Fathers. Let the example of their faith and love shine forth. Grant that we, their sons and daughters, may honor them always with a spirit of profound respect. Grant this Christ our Lord. Amen.

A big hearty THANK YOU and WELL DONE to all the Northern Maine District churches!! Through your efforts and the efforts of eagle eyes who covered churches that may not have been present to contribute to the CCYM check challenge (formally called the penny challenge) NME was the only district to have 100% participation of their churches. And if that wasn’t good enough…. The results are as follows…..
9th place Metro/Boston Hope $281
8th place CT/Western Mass $392
7th place Rhode Island/SE Mass $427
6th place Tri-State $543
5th place Central Mass $695
4th place Mid Maine $953
3rd place New Hampshire (our former rivals!) $1155
2nd place Vermont (one to keep an eye on) $1339
And of course…
1st place Northern Maine $3592.48 !!!!!
We have set the bar high now we will have to try to continue to exceed the expectations of those around us. All totaled the CCYM raised $9377.48
