Prayer: Creator and Architect of the universe, we are so grateful that you were not content to be simply the God of the cosmos, but sought beyond that to be a God who could walk in our midst and feel our joy and pain. You came in Christ, whom the world rejected; but not letting that be the last word, you made the stone rejected by some the chief cornerstone in the building of your Kingdom. We pray that these gifts we give to you now will be used for that work of construction: a kingdom on earth that reflects your Kingdom of Heaven. In Christ’s holy name, we pray. Amen. What’s Coming Up…
The Jubilation Ringers Annual Children’s Fair will be held on Saturday, May 19th, from 9 AM to Noon at the Hampden Academy Gym. This is a giant “indoor” yard sale with over 50 tables featuring children’s equipment, toys, and clothing (sizes NB – young adult). This is a great opportunity to buy good stuff at incredible prices.
The Children’s Fair has been a major fundraiser for the bell choir for many years, wrote Paula Baines, church secretary. Adding, people inquire of the fair several weeks ahead of the event. It has become a tradition in the Hampden area.
The HHUMC Youth Group will be selling baked goods to support their ministry. For information on reserving a space, contact Pauline Kilhefner at email@example.com or 234-3002.
