Ellingwood’s Wood Corner:
Ellingwood’s Corner UMC in Winterport is offering Thursday morning bible study at 11 am. Bring your own lunch. Ellingwood’s UMC is located at 796 Lebanon Rd, Winterport, ME.

Join us at Ellingwood’s Corner UMC for its indoor yard sale and Bean Supper this Saturday, April 14. The indoor yard sale offers many different items including books and toys. 8 am to 12 noon, 4-6 pm. The Bean supper menu is baked beans, hot dogs, salads, bread and dessert. $6 for adults and $3 for children. The supper will be served from 4 pm to 6 pm

Join us for the third Friday Potluck and activity on Friday, April 20 starting at 5 pm. Please include a ingredients cards with your dish as with we have many individuals with food allergies.

Outreach Committee will meet on Sunday, April 22 at 11:30 am in the church library.

Help Outreach Help the Indian Women’s Mission on Indian Island (Penboscot Nation) fill a cradle on the altar beginning April 15 through Sunday, May 6. Items needed are: cloth and disposable diapers, baby clothes, including homemade hats and booties, receiving blankets, nursing supplies, and bath items. The church outreach committee will hold a baby shower in the fellowship hall on May 13 (Mother’s Day). This is an exciting and practical way to help those in our communities.

Confirmation class will meet Sunday, April 22 from 3 pm to 5 pm and then the Youth Group will meet from 5 to 7 pm.

Through support of Native American Ministries Sunday, congregations become stronger, seminarians are prepared to serve, and communities are served. The Landscaping committee will meet Saturday, April 28 at 8 am.

Please join us as we burn some sneaker rubber for the Hike for the Homeless on Saturday, April 28 starting at Hampden Academy, 1 Main Road. Registration starts at 8 am, walk begins at 9:45 am to the Bangor Waterfront. This is one the biggest fundraisers for the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter.

Bean Supper will be held on Saturday, April 28 from 4:30 pm to 6 pm, a sign up poster will be set out in the fellowship hall soon.

Please join us for a VBS meeting on Sunday, April 29 after worship in the 3rd/4th grade classroom. VBS-This year’s vacation bible school theme is Babylon: Daniel’s Courage in Captivity. Dates are: Sunday, July 15-Thursday, July 19 from 6 pm to 8 pm. We will kick off VBS with a cook-out at 5 pm on July 15.

What’s Coming Up…
The Jubilation Ringers Annual Children’s Fair will be held on Saturday, May 19th, from 9 AM to Noon at the Hampden Academy Gym. This is a giant “indoor” yard sale with over 50 tables featuring children’s equipment, toys, and clothing (sizes NB – young adult). This is a great opportunity to buy good stuff at incredible prices.
The Children’s Fair has been a major fundraiser for the bell choir for many years, wrote Paula Baines, church secretary. Adding, people inquire of the fair several weeks ahead of the event. It has become a tradition in the Hampden area.
The HHUMC Youth Group will be selling baked goods to support their ministry. For information on reserving a space, contact Pauline Kilhefner at pkilhefner@yahoo.com or 234-3002.
