Prayer:
Everlasting God, you gave us the faith of Christ
for a light to our feet amid the darkness of this world.
Have pity on all who, by doubting or denying it,
are gone astray from the path of safety.
Bring home the truth to their hearts, and grant them to receive it;
through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
(Prayer excerpted from The United Methodist Book of Worship, #312, The United Methodist Publishing House, Nashville, TN. Copyright 1992.)
