The folks at Ellingwood’s Corner UMC will hold its confection creation workshop after our regular service (10am or so- we are pretty flexible about time) November 20, and will have soup/sandwich/pot luck. We would appreciate willing hands (that will not eat the profits!) candy making know how, new recipes would be welcome (bring or let us know what ingredients you need) and some food for the soup pot or to share.

There will be a special piano dedication on November 20 at 10 am worship. The Taylor-Foster Music Appreciation Fund which helped purchase the new piano in the Sanctuary.

HHUMC is hosting the Mt. View Singers “Carol in the Round 2011” next Sunday, November 27 at 4 pm. Once again, we will be making bagged meal for the Mt. View singers. The following items are needed: deli meat, cheese slices, bread/rolls, condiments, fruit, chips/pretzels, cookies or brownies. Please leave items in the kitchen before the concert.
Advent Study four week study “Shine! Light for All People’s by Patricia Farris, will begin on November 27, we will meet at 9 am on Sunday mornings.
This year’s pageant will be the “The Reluctant Innkeeper” and will be held on Sunday, December 18th at 4:30 pm. Please join us for the pageant and for refreshments afterwards.
There will not be Sunday School on Sunday, December 25 Christmas Day.

Confirmation classes will begin in mid-January and will be held for 16 weeks. We will be using a new confirmation curriculum called “Credo”. Reeni Cipullo is hoping to have confirmation classes from 9 am to 11 am. If you are interested in being confirmed or to be a mentor for a child being confirmed please let Reeni know.
